It feels like it's been a lot longer than a week since I last wrote! We were crazy busy trying to get into the house and then my sister's were in town so it's been hectic but so great! The weather here is getting warmer. It was like all of a sudden it switched from being winter to being spring! I don't think we are completely out of the winter weather but the last week it has been in the 40's and the last couple of days it's been raining, not snowing, raining. So here is how the last week went!
So, I think I wrote last Tuesday, which was when we closed on the house and then later that evening I started to figure out that I was a complete moron when it came to daycare. Obviously, at first I was really happy about taking Little Miss to the place we found, it is a great place and has a lot to offer but I guess I never really looked at how much it was going to cost. Because MH is on his own now for work, he is wanting to take as many appointments as possible to start getting an income. Well that means we need to have Little Miss in regular daycare until he can get established. So when I looked at the price list again for the daycare we were taking her to, I realized it would cost $1200 a month! We are used to paying $550. I began to freak out in my usual fashion and decided to look on craigslist to see about an in-home daycare program. Well, the first posting I looked at seemed very promising! We made an appointment with her for the next day and Little Miss was enrolled in her program by Thursday! I have to say, things feel so much better now that she's there instead of the bigger daycare. As I mentioned last week, I had a total breakdown when I took her to daycare last week and I don't feel like that at all when we bring her to the new sitter, we will call her TC. She is very nice, her and her husband just relocated here from North Carolina so it makes me feel like she understands us better too. Little Miss seems to be doing great there as well. So anyway, that was a big change for us last week, but a good one.
Next, the movers came on Thursday and got everything in the house and even offered to help unpack our stuff. I decided to go ahead and take advantage of that and asked them to unpack my kitchen belongings. What a mistake! They literally dumped things into drawers, threw things into random cupboards and unloaded a bunch of stuff onto the counters. I don't really see how that was a help to me. I told them they didn't need to worry about anything else and they were gone by about 1pm, which left me the afternoon to get stuff done. It was still a disaster when my sisters got here but they understood, and by Sunday, things were looking pretty nice!
So on Friday my sisters, RP and AE came into town. It was SSOO great having them here! It just feels like they belong here, like they should be living a few minutes away or something. As RP said about 20 times, it didn't even feel like we lived in different states :-) We honestly didn't do much of anything. We had a lot of plans but none of them really happened! Haha! We did have a little b-day celebration for Little Miss on Sunday and that was fun, pretty low-key but fun. I can't wait for RP and AE to come back out here. It's so nice knowing they have the ability to come out here without a huge expense and it makes me feel so much better knowing that either the two of them or my mom will be able to come out when the baby is born since we don't have to plan for weeks to get them booked on a flight.
I was not a very good mom this weekend because I didn't get one picture of Little Miss on her birthday so I will have to post pictures later, once I can get them from someone else - haha! I really really need to get better at pictures!!
Well, we don't have much planned for this week so I'm not sure what I'll write about next time but you'll just have to stay tuned to find out!
Positive Milwaukee Note: Living in Waukesha is SO much better than Milwaukee. I finally feel like I can get around easier and our little town doesn't feel so intimidating. I feel like I will really feel like this is home at some point.

I have to agree that Milwaukee isn't the best place - but you will love Waukesha! I never realized that you were having a hard time adjusting...(I remember that all too well!) We should really plan on getting together soon! We could always meet in the Dells. Avery would love that!
Also, don't EVER hesitate to call me - I know what you are going though!
