Happy Easter!

Well, this is definitely an odd Easter for us. We didn't have 3 trips to make to visit all of the families. We didn't even have one trip to make! In fact, this has been the least Eastery Easter I've ever had! Since we haven't found a church yet, we didn't even have that aspect of the day today. Something to get used to I suppose. I hope everyone had a wonderful day today though, even if we couldn't spend it with any of you!
So it's been a while since I wrote. Sorry about that, it's been a little hectic. I'll fill you in.
Not last Friday, but the Friday before, I ended up in the hospital because I was having too many contractions. I'm 31 weeks today and I shouldn't be having as many contractions as I am. I thought they were just Braxton Hicks but since I had 4 in an hour, the doctor told me I needed to go in and get monitored. At the hospital, I started getting contractions every 3-4 minutes so they hooked me up to an IV hoping that would help and when it didn't, they gave me a shot of something to get them to stop. It worked and I was released with the condition that if I have 6 contractions in an hour, I'll have to go back. So last week and this weekend, I've still been having a lot of contractions, but luckily, we haven't reached 6 in a hour so we haven't had to go back. I'm not dilating at all so that's the good news. The doctor is not sure why I'm having contractions so is playing around with bed rest options until we find something that works. So far, I had to stay home 2 days and try and stay off of my feet. Well, it worked for one day because on Friday our babysitter couldn't take Little Miss and I was home with her most of the day. But that's ok, like I said, I haven't gotten up to 6 in an hour so I'll just keep trying to take it easy as much as I can. So that is the big news on me and the baby. Sorry to breeze through it all but I have more to talk about today! :-)
We met our neighbor, Nancy, a few weeks ago. She is a very nice lady and comes and talks with us whenever we are outside. Well, Friday was a BEAUTIFUL day here. It was about 80 degrees and we just had to get outside for a bit so once MH got home, the three of us headed outdoors to play on the slide that is now Little Miss's favorite pastime. Nancy came over and we got to talking and she told me that our neighborhood has a book club that I might like to join. She said the girl leading it is from Colorado and is about my age so we might have something in common! Cool huh? Then she told us that the previous owners of our house were coming into town on Saturday and asked if we would like to meet them. We said sure and so on Saturday we spent the better half of the day with them talking about all of the work they did on the house and about the neighborhood and all the different things to look forward to! In the summer, Waukesha has live music downtown, which is about 5 blocks down from us, and all of the shops are open late for everyone walking around. I feel like I'm all of a sudden in Pleasantville or something! I think I've told you all before that downtown Waukesha is like an old town Arvada kind of feel. They have chocolatiers and gelato shops and a little 50s diner. It's super cute. I'm thinking the summer just seems to get better and better around here! From what the previous owners said, the whole neighborhood gets to know everyone and there are a lot of younger couples with kids on our block. These blogs are seeming much more upbeat these days, huh?
Well anyway, yesterday we took Little Miss to an Easter egg hunt a couple miles down the road. It was hilarious. It was a rainy day unfortunately but that didn't stop anyone from coming out. We luckily got there on time and were on our way home about 5 minutes later! There were 4000 eggs "hidden" for everyone to find and about 200 kids or so. The announcer got on the mic to say we would be starting shortly and the over-excited kids took that to mean "GO" so there was a mad dash to get eggs. We were in the 0-2 year area and took home about 10 eggs or so. Little Miss really got into it and was running after the eggs. It was so cute but literally lasted about 5 minutes. Because of the rain, we didn't stick around to meet the Easter Bunny who showed up at 10am on a firetruck but we still had a good time.
Oh and one other thing. I met a girl at work who is pregnant with her first, due May 6th. We started talking a bunch and she seems super nice. I'm really hoping to get a chance to know her better. It's just been nice to meet new people this last week. And I thought I should give an honorable mention to one of my original enemies here in Wisconsin. Remember when I told you about my first day in the office, how I said hi to someone I knew and she completely ignored me? Well, she has become a true case of the weather affecting moods here because she now sees me in the lunch room and actually sits down to talk to me and see how things are going! Crazy huh?
Ok, I think that pretty much sums up my last couple of weeks. I'll try and get back on the ball with it! And here are some new pics for you to enjoy:

Positive Wisconsin Note: Living in Milwaukee will give you a GREAT appreciation for anywhere else in the state, maybe even country!

Ha! Yes that is true. Milwaukee is not the greatest but I am happy to hear you are starting to enjoy it more!
One thing that Milwaukee has (besides the Brewers!) is Summerfest...you should check that out. That's always a lot of fun!
