I've obviously been bad at keeping up with this blog everyday. I was traveling again last week and that usually means late nights and I don't get much chance to log on. This week, however, should be my last week traveling. I finally have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday so I'll ask them for sure but it will not break my heart if they tell me no more traveling!! Anyway, here's what you've missed in the last week:
So after my post on Tuesday about all the bad news we were getting, we got some great news. I believe I told you that we were waiting for a letter from MH's boss saying that he was employed and made a salary but we were worried about getting it because technically his new job is commission only. Well, his boss was SO understanding about it and instead hired him for another position that would give him a salary and therefore, the letter we needed to get the financing on the house. Finally, good news!! So we turned everything in to the loan officer and were feeling good about getting the house until he called back and said that after all of the headache we went through to get that stupid letter, it wasn't enough! They said we needed to have pay stubs showing at least 30 days of employment, which we have but since it's severance, it doesn't count! So we were back to being out of luck. We decided at that point to switch lenders. Our new lender believes we should have no problem getting approved, it's just a matter of what type of loan we are willing to take. We have 3 options right now and are, as I said before, patiently waiting for any one of them to come through for us. Keep your fingers crossed!
I haven't talked much about Little Miss, I've realized, so here's a new update on her. She's getting so big, so fast! We have these books that she got for Christmas that are a bunch of animals pictures and she makes us go through them every night. She names off each of the animals and on the "Neighborhood" animal book, she does the sounds of them too. For example, if it's a picture of a dog, she'll say "doggy", "woosh, woosh". Haha! So adorable. So since she was getting so good at that, we decided to buy her some flash cards. The ones I found were for pre-schoolers but they had certain common pictures that we figured she would be able to do. Well, we took out the cards and one by one, she knew almost all of them!! MH and I were amazed and so proud, of course! She's also really into dancing and singing right now. She can dance for an hour straight if we give her the music. And she's started singing into her "microphone", which is her fist, and she'll close her eyes and sway while she sings. Hehe. I love it. She does anything she can to make us laugh. Tonight, she was making my head turn back and forth and saying, no, no, no, no, no and then she'd stop and we would both yell, aaaaaahhhhhhhh until we had to take a breath. It was funny. She also will just freeze in place and stare at you with a goofy look on her face until you laugh. She's just silly.
Well, I intended this post to be a short one because I caught a horrible cold and wanted to get to bed right away, but as usual, I talk too much!
Positive Milwaukee Note: I have seen minimal spiders here so far. My guess is that as soon as they try to crawl their nasty little selves anywhere, they freeze in place. Good! However, this thought could become a Negative Milwaukee Note in just a few months when it starts to warm up and the opposite is true. Ew.
