What's New?

Not much. Still waiting to hear about the house. I sure hope we hear something today! Not a whole lot going on but I didn't want to get too behind by not posting so this will probably be a quick one. I should be working anyway, I just don't have much motivation today. It's times like this that I wish I could have caffeine, I seriously get so much done with just a little bit of the stuff in the morning! I guess technically I could have a little bit. I'll consider it while I write so maybe by the end of this post I'll be ready to get stuff done. Haha.

So I finally had my doctor's appointment. It was great! I really like the new doctor and the hospital seems really nice, even if it is a bit confusing. Luckily, they have tours so I will be sure to book that before the baby comes! In fact, I wonder if I should book that for next week since we will have family here to help us with Little Miss! Maybe I could even get in a date night with MH too! Preferably not the same evening :-)

Anyway, I can't believe how much the baby has grown! We are definitely having a boy so that was nice to confirm. He weighs a pound and a half right now and is tracking perfectly for a June 6th due date. We got to see 3D pictures of him too, which was pretty cool. They are actually a little creepy because I didn't know with the 3D pictures that you would see other stuff besides just the baby. For example, there is a picture of his face that shows his profile but because he is resting his little head on the placenta, it makes it look like he has a big hole in his head! It's kinda scary! So anyway, if I had the picture here with me, I'd go ahead and post it but I don't, so I won't.

We also found a daycare for Little Miss! I went to a KinderCare in Waukesha and wasn't all that impressed, especially at the price tag! So we decided to call the place that was recommended by family a fourth time but this time I called one of the other locations. Well, it paid off. MH, Little Miss and I went to meet with them yesterday and really liked the place. It's pretty small, which makes me feel better because it won't be such a shock for Little Miss when there are 8 other kids rather than like 20! The little kids that were there when we visited started trying to play with Little Miss right away so that was awesome. The teachers all seemed so nice too. They also have a good security system there that made me feel comfortable with them. Another really cool thing that they do is since they are located near an assisted living facility, the kids actually get to go visit once a week with the folks there. They have a music hour with the retired priests there and then also spend time with the Alzheimer's patients. Isn't that cool? I just think, how uplifting a bunch of two-year-old's smiles must be for them! So, Little Miss might be starting as early as next week but we have to wait to see what MH's schedule will be. We also have to find out about the house. There are a lot of things riding on our closing date next week so it would be great to know if we'll actually be closing.

Well, I think that's about all of the news I have. Again, I'm hoping my next post will be to tell you all that we got the house and are moving in!!!! Keep keeping your fingers crossed please!

Positive Milwaukee Note: The sun is shining today and it's Friday. I think that must change people's outlook on life or something because I actually got two "Good Morning"'s today from people I'd never seen before! I'm wondering if the warmer weather of Spring and Summer will bring with it better attitudes!
