Milwaukee. Sigh.

Hello!
I was reading one of my greatest friend's blog today and every time I read it, I think what a great idea it is to start a blog. So I'm finally doing something about it. Me and my family have just recently moved to Milwaukee so I thought it was a great opportunity to keep all of my friends and family back in Colorado updated on our daily lives!

My husband, daughter and I have been in Milwaukee a total of 8 days. I'm having a hard time adjusting so far so I'm worried this blog may become a bit of a downer so I've taken a tip from my wonderful sister who says I should write at least one positive thing each time I write. I will do my best.

To start off, it's flippin' freezing here. I know, big surprise. My husband, we'll call him MH from here on out, seems to think he's already adjusted to the cold. I think he's faking it. :-) The temperature has been about 20 degrees or less since we got here but it feels so much colder than that! Some good news, it's supposed to be 39 degrees this week! We're excited to break out the flip-flops! Maybe we can go for a quick swim in the lake with that kind of heat wave!! The funny thing is, I'm actually excited for it to be 39 degrees. I think it means we'll see the sun for the third time since we got here and I am definitely missing the sun. I don't miss that as much as I miss my family and friends back in Colorado though. So many of them I didn't see very often but knowing they were there made a huge difference. Now, there is this very lonely feeling even though I'm with my husband and daughter. I don't get much chance to talk on the phone since as soon as it rings my 2-year-old throws a fit and when I get a minute of peace, it's sometimes hard to fill it with more talking. But that's why I'm hoping all of you reading this will understand the place you have in my heart even if you don't hear from me much. Please read and reply and let me know you care! I'll write more tomorrow!

Positive Milwaukee Note: They have a Brand here called Kemp's. I don't know if they sell it anywhere else but it's the greatest ice cream ever!

Love to all!

this is great Jess! I can't wait to read some more!!! I saw a wet suit that you would like. We can package it up and ship it out just in time for you to enjoy that sunny summer weather ;) haha...just kidding. Colorado isn't really known for their wet suit collection, eh?
